Remember, you wake up dehydrated and malnourished. It’s always a good idea to start your rehydration process from your night of slumber as soon as possible. And, no matter when you eat, be sure to follow these nourishing nutrition tips to start your day off right to optimize your blood sugar.

1. Eat a minimum of 25 grams of protein.

Have some scrambled eggs with cheese and veggies or aim for a high-protein smoothie with fruit, veggies, and healthy fats to start your day.

Check out Bob’s new Metabolic Efficiency Recipe e-book with 52, mouth-watering recipes that are all protein-packed!

2. Drink at least 20 ounces of fluid.

If you make a smoothie, it’s easy to get your fluids. If not, aid some electrolytes (no sugar) to a good size glass of water.

3. Eat something colorful, like a fruit or veggie.

Eating fiber-rich carbohydrate sources helps balance your blood sugar. Aim for berries or throw some spinach or kale in a morning protein smoothie.
