Fire Cider Wellness Shot Recipe

Boost your immune system and fight inflammation with this quick and potent Fire Cider Wellness Shot! Packed with a powerhouse of natural ingredients, this zesty elixir combines apple cider vinegar, fresh pineapple, ginger, horseradish, garlic, lime, honey, turmeric, and a pinch of pepper. Apple cider vinegar and honey support digestion and soothe the throat, while the ginger and turmeric provide anti-inflammatory benefits to help ease discomfort and promote overall wellness. Pineapple and lime add a burst of vitamin C to bolster your immune system, and the horseradish and garlic offer antimicrobial properties to fight off seasonal threats. Perfect for a quick health boost, this fiery shot is as invigorating as it is beneficial.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 C apple cider vinegar
  • 1 C chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1 approx. 2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 approx. 1 inch piece of fresh horseradish root, peeled
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1/2 small lime, peeled
  • 2 tbsp raw honey
  • 3/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Using a high speed blender, mix all ingredients until well blended and there are no large chunks. 
  2. Pour the blender mixture, through a fine mesh strainer, into a large measuring cup. Press the mixture with a spoon to collect as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
  3. Transfer the fire cider mixture into a glass bottle or jar for storage. 
  4. Enjoy by consuming a 'shot' or 1 - 1. 5 ounces of fire cider as desired - once a day or when you feel you need an immune boost.
