Developmental High Performance Team Training Sessions

Coached training sessions are available to all annual members of the triathlon team.  If you are not an annual member please register here first. The Developmental High Performance Team focuses on ages 12 - 19 years of age. While the majority of training is in the summer, there may be additional training opportunities throughout the year depending on scheduling and facility availability. Individual Coaching is also available and is a great way to improve fitness. The Developmental High Performance Team is focused on learning and practicing swim, bike, run, and transition skills to progress to the high performance level. 

Our Developmental High Performance Team supports the proper physical and cognitive development of teens while providing age-appropriate social interaction, skill building, and physiological adaptation. Emphasis on learning skills and practicing them with consistency while gaining fitness are the main goals. Athletes should have experience with endurance sports or triathlon. This team is not for true beginners.

Equipment Needed for Developmental High Performance Team Practices

 
  • team custom clothing/race uniform

  • competition style swimsuit (no board shorts)

  • team swim cap (first cap provided by eNRG Performance as part of the annual membership; additional caps can be purchased)

  • goggles, pull buoy, paddles, fins, swim snorkel

  • stretchcords for swimming (we prefer the Halo SPHandles)

  • Finis Tempo Trainer

  • triathlon wetsuit (we prefer ones from our partner, Roka)

  • road bike in good working condition

  • tubes, tire changing tools and pump

  • shoes for biking (we prefer one strap triathlon shoes)

  • helmet, cycling gloves, sunglasses

  • running shoes

  • water bottle(s)

  • GPS device (mandatory)

  • Colorado State Parks Pass, required for entrance into Chatfield State Park

  • Light for bike (rear is mandatory, front is optional)
